The conclusions of Grant et al . are perfectly compatible with Boice’s subjective view, but given the uncertainties of the LSS data, their analyses are also at least as consistent with a
nonzero-threshold model (linear threshold or linear-quadratic threshold) as with any zero-threshold model.
